Obituaries » Thomas W. Henry June 11, 1937 - December 13, 2021 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Thomas W. Henry, 84, of Carbondale died Monday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. His wife is the former Gail Chubb. The couple had been married for 59 years. Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Elmer and Bernice Hunter Henry. Tom was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Tom had served in the Navy. He had been employed prior to retirement by the D.G. Nicholas Company in sales. Tom had attended the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale. He is also survived by a son, Gary, Carbondale, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, William and a sister Jean Pugh. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 20th at 11:00 AM in the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 62 N. Main St., Carbondale by the Rev. Jay Best. Friends may call on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Tom’s name.
