Rocuba, 88, of Forest City died Sunday at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the widow of Fred Rocuba, who died in 1991. Born in Browndale, she was the daughter of the late Jerry & Mary Nagoda. She attended Forest City Schools and had been employed for many years in the garment industry including Waymart Knit Wear and Sianna Sportswear Co, Carbondale. Vicky was a member of Ascension Parish, The Red Hatters, Slovenian Heritage Club and the Tri County Citizens all of Forest City, The Fell Township Golden Age Club and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She had been a resident of the William Penn Apartments where she served as fire captain. Vicky enjoyed playing bingo, bus trips and traveling to the casinos. She always had a smile on her face. The family would like to thank the staff of the Forest City Nursing Center for their excellent care of Vicky. She is survived by two sons, Bruno and Andy and three daughters Vickie, Mary and Louise, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. A private graveside service will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Forest City at the convenience of the family.
